Our Mission

Our mission is simple. To empower women by providing a comfortable, safe, and discreet way to holster a concealed firearm. We believe that women shouldn't have to expose themselves to an attacker in order to draw their weapon, nor should they be forced to trade comfort for safety. We believe it is our duty as citizens of the United States to bear arms and protect ourselves from the dangers around us. We will never be free until we learn not to rely solely on others to protect us. 

Our Story

I started Alive Designs shortly after I got my CCW permit and noticed the shocking lack of proper holsters for a woman to carry a gun. If you've been carrying for a while, I'm sure you know what I mean. I stocked up almost every holster designed for women on the market and still proceeded to wear the same holster day after day. All of the holsters I tried were either horribly uncomfortable or made accessing my gun in a timely manner completely hopeless. The concealed holster market had failed me. 

One night as I was trying to fall asleep, I came up with a brilliant idea. Why don't we utilize pockets as a method of concealing a weapon? I mean, the concept of a pocket is simple enough. The next morning as I was getting dressed, I tested my idea by slipping my gun into the tiny pockets I have in some of my clothes. Without a real holster inside, it was pretty obvious that there was a gun in there as I had expected. I hadn't lost hope though, these clothes weren't designed to conceal a weapon. I pulled out the old sewing machine and started sewing the first draft of what we now know as the Liberty Skirt. After many revisions and different attempts, I finally struck gold. A skirt that is classy, comfortable, functional and better that every other holster I had ever worn. Thus was the beginning of Alive Designs By Renate.
